Supposedly, we would meet one of my prospects. However, it was canceled at the last minute. As a result, it appeared like I was dating my bodyguard in a fancy restaurant. I was chewing on my steak when my father called, and I had to excuse myself from Lee.

“I’ll just take this call,” I told him.

“Hey, pumpkin! How have you been? I hope that Lee didn’t give you a headache!” Father said on the other line, and his voice told me that he was excited about something.

“No, of course not, pumpkin! You know how much I loved your mother very well, so it’s not in my plan to take another wife. Well, I’m on my way home now, and my friend from the university will have dinner with us tonight. Please come home early,” he stated.
