Chapter 20
I locked my gaze on Lance for a moment, noticing how the corners of his mouth drew up as if he was amused by something. While I waited for him to elaborate on his recent statement that I should stay in my room whenever he came home, one of my eyebrows arched.
“When you say you don't go out, what exactly do you mean? “I asked him a question.
“It's self-explanatory, Alexa,” he said sternly, his gaze remaining fixed on the papers he was reading.
I moved closer to him and snatched the newspaper from his grip, just like a spoiled brat throwing a tantrum. He scowled at me, but his glum expression didn't bother me in the least. “You're still in love with me,” I guessed, and he shrugged half-heartedly. While I waited for his response, I kept my hands on my hips.
He stood up and walked upstairs after saying, "You're delusional."
