Chapter 149. The Winning Move

Emma decided she needed to leave the hospital earlier than expected. She couldn’t stay there, waiting for everything to unfold on its own. She needed space to put her plan into action, and the hospital was not the right place for that. She knew Anna wouldn’t wait, and there was no reason for her to delay either.

“Jackson,” Emma called softly, pulling Jackson out of his thoughts. “I want to leave the hospital early.”

Jackson turned to look at her in surprise, his eyes filled with concern. “You just woke up after fainting, and now you want to leave already? You haven’t fully recovered yet.”

Emma smiled, trying to keep her expression calm. “I’m fine, Jackson. I was just exhausted and overwhelmed because everything happened so fast. The doctors checked me, and there’s nothing serious. Honestly, I think going home will help me recover faster. I need my own space to rest, not lying here in the hospital.”
