Chapter 2. Hurt
It was like the trigger of a gun, so I immediately burst into tears. He remained serious.
“I am not a kitten!” I pointed to his chest. “I am turning nineteen! I am a woman! Most of all, I am not insecure! I am better than your women!”
He looked so amused by my sudden outburst. What the hell!
He licked his lips. He tried to calm himself. He closed his eyes tight. Immediately my gaze dropped to his lips.
Oh damn.
It’s not necessary, Rox.
His eyes widened.
“You broke my laptop because…?” He asked calmly.
I gasped and averted my eyes. This is not the first time we have argued. But here’s the worst. Every time we fight, he always loses.
“Because you’re flirty. Why did you drive my tutor? She doesn’t need a driver!” I said.
He leaned more closely. Our noses almost touch, and my heart is mad right now.
“And now you’re jealous?” he said softly, touching my chin.
I immediately took you away.
“Don’t touch me!” I shouted as I pushed him. “I hate you! You manwhore!” I cursed him.
He put his hand in his pocket.
Damn, his bad boy look.
“I’ll hold you like what I want at the right time,” he told me, and I could not understand.
I rolled my eyes and stormed out of that fucking library. I immediately went into my bedroom and jumped on my bed. There, I was crying.
“I fucking hate you, Sav Dela Rama!” I sobbed again.

“What? You’re grounded?” Simon chuckled and walked over to me.
We’re out of school. I am currently studying at St. Dominic High School. It’s my last year here, and I want to graduate with honors.
I shook my head and took his hand that was wrapped around me. So many eyes were already on us.
Simon is handsome and rich. He has a car and bad-boy looks. It’s just that I didn’t like him. I preferred a mature man! Years older than me with a career slaying.
“Dad has a party at home,” I shrugged. I can see that his girlfriend is getting closer to where we are.
Her eyes narrowed as she looked at us.
“Your girlfriend is here,” I laughed. I know this scene.
Simon immediately looked at her.
“So… that’s why you’re cold to me? Was it because of her?” Courtesy of his girlfriend.
I raised an eyebrow.
Simon immediately grabbed her by the waist. He then denied it.
Simon and I were just close friends! I’m used to his arrogant playboy side. In fact, we’ve been friends since elementary.
“Don’t touch me!” she said stiffly. Her eyes were bloodshot, and she was obviously hurt.
Dammit! What did I do?
“Babe… you got it wrong.”
“Wrong? I saw it!” she shouted.
We got the crowd’s attention. Students’ looks are already on us. Some girls were whispering and rolling their eyes at me.
“We’re just friends, Cara! Stop making a scene,” Simon hissed, trying to stop her ranting.
“Really?” She mocked. “Is this Roxette Dela Rama?”
Oh, she knew me. She was ahead of me for two years. They are the same age as Simon.
“All I know is that you are flirty!” She shouted.
Damn! I am not a flirt!
“Excuse me?” Simon said, but I stopped him.
“Flirty? How come?” I cockily said.
I want to leave, but I want to see what this girl got.
She laughed mockingly.
“How come? You’re a monthly flavor of fuckboys in this school. You are pretty, but…” She eyed me from head to foot, “…slut,” she ended.
“Cara. Enough,” Simon warned her.
I chuckled. I don’t have a care.
“So much information about me, huh? Are you a fan of mine?” I chuckled.
Cara gasped.
I no longer stayed there. This isn’t the first time she’s been jealous. This is also not the first time I have been attacked. Most are in college.
As a matter of fact, most of my friends are boys, and I only have one girlfriend. Her name is Jezel. Jezel Guarin. Our parents were friends, and so were we.
When I got out of the school’s gate, I immediately saw our SUV. My driver got out and took the book and bag I was holding. I have my own car and driver, but I don’t know how to drive it yet.
“Let’s go home, ma’am?” My driver asked. I was already in the passenger seat.
I nodded.
“Has the party started?”
“Yes, ma’am, there are many people in the mansion.”
I pouted. I could only imagine our house full of influential people — Papa’s friends.
I cleared my throat.
“Hm, is Sav already there?” I asked.
He looked at me in the rearview mirror.
“Yes, ma’am. He even sent a girl earlier.”
What?
My blood boiled. The nerve of that man. He’s already turning our mansion into a hotel! When will he stop?
“Is the girl pretty?” I bitterly asked. I am asking my driver about this nonsense topic. I felt like an idiot.
Mario laughed. “Yes.”
I rolled my eyes. I never regretted that I destroyed his laptop. It’s been one week since that happened. To my surprise, he didn’t tell Papa about it.
I just noticed that I’ve been thinking about him lately.
When we arrived at the mansion, outside, there were people. Others looked at me when I entered.
I smiled and greeted them. Some are familiar; others are not.
Men were wearing complete suits, women wearing their signature elegant dresses. And damn! My eyes drooled, looking at their expensive jewelry! I love jewelry!
When I entered the living room, I saw respectable people. There is food on the long table. Some serve wines.
I saw Dad talking to one of his friends.
“Good evening, Dad,” I greeted and kissed his cheeks.
I looked so out of place. I am only wearing my uniform!
“Oh! Good evening, Rox. How’s your day?”
I smiled. “It’s just a normal school day. By the way, congratulations!”
He chuckled. He introduced me to the people. I just smiled.
“You have a gorgeous daughter, Henry.”
My cheeks blushed because of that.
Dad chuckled.
“Yeah, Henry. I want to introduce her to my young son!” said a lady.
They laughed.
I pouted. “Pa, I’ll just change,” I excused myself.
I immediately headed up the stairs. One time I looked down, and my gaze directly landed on Savier wearing his black tux. He’s holding a glass of wine and talking with some man his age. Maybe about business.
I also notice the woman holding his arm and giggling. I saw how Sav kissed her temple.
Tears welled up in my eyes.
To my horror, his eyes went to me. He smirked. He was devilishly handsome. He’s twenty-three and successful in life. He’s a billionaire. He looked at me and sipped his wine without taking his eyes off me.
Dammit! Why am I hurt? Why my heart feels like being stabbed when he’s with someone else?
What is this, Rox?
