"Don't let this be the end of you, Maggie," I say, holding my best friend's hand at that moment. I'm not going to accept this anymore.

I know we can die in this place, and I know I can die far away from my family, but I need to believe that good things are still waiting for me when I get out of this place. I can't die here, and I won't accept this end to my story. I sit down on the mattress next to Maggie and lay my head on her shoulder before closing my eyes. I wish this was just a bad dream, but it's all too real, this is reality.

I'm cold, and I feel my body shaking as I continue to sit on the mattress next to Maggie. I'm still very scared, but I'm very cold now. This place is an old abandoned house somewhere very far from the city, and it's very cold here.
