I nodded at her but she was already gone. She left me in the kitchen and walked away.

I became more scared since I began to feel that she was hiding something from me.

I took a piece of meat and put it into my mouth and my mumbled before leaving the kitchen.

"I don't want both of you sleeping in the same room," Hart's mother said as soon as she knocked and I opened up the door.

"I don't understand, mom." Jayden said.

"I mean you and her," She pointed at me. "...must not sleep in the same room, you haven't married her or have you?"

"But she's my friend,"

I remained silent and kept on watching them. I was seated opposite the mirror and applying a face cream.

"Jasmine," She called and I turned to her.

"Ma?" I raised my brows in the process.

"Come, there are several rooms in this house, I will show you to one."
