Chapter 99. Interviewed by the Press

We drove down the sloppy road and set out for Broken Hill.

During the ride, I had my mind on Jasmine. I feared that I wouldn't have her as my wife anymore.

I had tasted her love and it was worthwhile. Initially, I believed that I could exist without the love of a woman. But what man wouldn't want Jasmine?

Stanley blew the horn of the car making me aware of the chaos in the street. The cop signaled to him and he drove into an open space.

There were men with cameras and news reporters from a certain popular news station in town.

What was going on I wondered after I'd asked Stanley and he equally expressed his lack of knowledge about the whole scenario.

Oscar went to speak with one of the cops. They stood for a while and he spent some time explaining something to him.

Oscar smiled and turned to look at me in the car before he began to walk down.

"Sir, they found a letter you addressed to Mrs. Jasmine by a
