“Stop!” Claire yelled, her voice breaking as Hayley stalked towards me. “Leave them alone, I will come with you.” She declared, her eyes looking unseemly at a particular spot, I followed the direction of her gaze and soon realised why, Hayley had stabbed Hunter with a silver knife, causing him to bleed out. If care is not taken, he will no doubt bleed to death. 

Pushing all distractions out of my head, I turned inward, searching through the corner of my mind from Jet. I could feel him, which tells me he’s alive but I couldn’t hear him. “Jet?” I whispered into his conscience. “If you can hear me, do not let Sophie breathe no matter what, if she cannot breathe then she cannot think, which means she cannot cast a spell. Someone else is here waiting for a signal from her, I’ll distract her until Sophie stops fighting so you can come back here and help.” I finished, refocusing my attention back to Claire.
