Chapter 61. Welcome Home, Lexi
Lexi’s whole body had frozen in the doorway as the doors opened and revealed yet another cavernous room. The only difference was, at the far end of the room sat a massive throne with a figure sat lounging in the seat, with one leg thrown haphazardly over the side.
Narcissa pushed her forward with an impatient sigh, shoving her roughly between the shoulder blades as Lexi’s feet struggled to keep up. She had gone into a state of self-preservation and her body was simply refusing to obey her commands, her heart beating so quickly that she was bothered it might result in a medical emergency.
From this distance she couldn’t clearly make out his face but she remembered it well, and even though she was in a precarious position right now, her mind was filled with thoughts that seemed pretty irrelevant considering what was at stake.
If she did have a heart attack all the way down here, would she have to rely on Narcisa as her surgeon?
