“Mamá gave us her blessings,” he murmured. On hand rubbing her hips while she lay on his good side.
Surprised, she shivered in his arms and looked up at him. A question in her eyes. “How?”
“While I was...asleep. It was the first time I dreamt of her after so many years. She said she was proud of me.” His last words ended in a hushed whisper.
Dinara smiled, glad he now had peace. “What else did she say?”
“That she approves of you and she loves Radina.” He pulled her closer to him. His hospital bed was a tight fit, she usually slept on the couch near her baby’s crib but tonight Rafael had protested. She relented because he was already free from the cannulas and tubes.
“She would have spoiled our baby rotten.” She jested.
“That she will. She also told me something else.” This time his voice sounded on edge.
“What is it, baby?” She propped her head on her shoulder to better read his face.
“My little sister is alive.” He gritte
