Chapter 44

Taylor's POV:

Everyone else had noticed but him. How ironic, dressing up for only one man and getting the wrong audience.

Somehow, I believed it had something to do with the murder case.

He seemed to be very silent about it and would rather not discuss it with any of us but Mr. Arnold had briefed us.

Talk of the devil, I have seen how Mr. Arnold's eyes tend to linger on me these past few days when he sees me.

I knew he wanted me but this time around, I wanted somebody bigger, someone who was not easily impressed or tempted.

Mr. Diego must have seen through my mind games and plans, for he had called me to his office telling me to forget Angelo as he would never have me or anything near me.

That had hurt me so much but I did not let him see for what he would want, to see me weak and vulnerable so he could have his way with me just like the last time when he had used my desperation for a job to have a way with me.
