“He’s different.”
“You mean Heyon? He’s a vampire now, Seok, of course he’s different.”
“No. I mean Saejin.”
“How would he be different?”
“He’s not kind, never is. He doesn’t let anyone near that blood he forced me to bewitch to never lose its taste, and even when I could use it to bring him back, he forbade it and asked for fresh human blood because it was worth much less. That,” he pointed to the kitchen, aiming at the bottle from which the vampire poured the red liquid into the glasses, “is like gold. And now he’s standing there, toasting Yonie like he couldn’t care less.”
SooMin eyed them warily as well. Heyon reached for the cup, sniffing it, excited. His eyes were brightly lit, matching Hwang’s. He saw the older vampire toast the younger one and smiled.
“It just seems like everyone is fine in here.” He said, shifting his eyes to Seok. “It’s just the two of us left.”
“What are you implying?”
“That he’s flirting. He’s trying to win
