Chapter 62. Healing Hearts, Soaring Skies

Livana saddled the horse, fastened it securely, and held onto the reins as she led it out of the stable. She mounted the animal easily, putting her feet in the stirrups, and looked at Norabel. Her hand reached out, and though the girl was afraid the horse might not accept her, she accepted the warrior's help and was lifted effortlessly, settling in front of her.

"Hold on tight here," Livana pointed to the saddle.

"But what if I fall? Shouldn't I hold onto the reins?"

"No, you might confuse him while we're in the sky, and I'm sure you don't want to fall, do you?"

Norabel nodded, already scared enough at the thought of being in the sky with no safety measures. "And I'll hold on to you," Livana tightened her grip around the girl's waist, pressing her against her body. Norabel swallowed hard and felt Livana's breath on her neck. "Is this okay?"
