"What people see when they look at us. I know I am. The first girl assumed we were a couple. The second guy assumed you were my kid. I want to know what the third person would think." Linc says, tugging me along. Hand in hand, I think it would be tough to attach a label to us. Fathers and daughters hold hands in busy malls. That is pretty normal. So do couples. So it is vague enough for anyone to assume anything. Except it is someone that knows us personally. Which is unlikely.
"Why does that matter?" I ask with a raised brow. Of course I know why it matters, in a way. But I just want to be a brat. We reach the queue. We are fifth in line.
"Well, if the third person sees us a father and daughter duo, then that means that is what the majority sees when they look at us. That would be a big problem, Amelia. I would have to break up with you." Linc says out of the corner
