Book 4: Chapter 6

Sasha entered her bedroom after putting Sapphire to bed again, she had knocked on Chris’s door but he did not let her in and when she entered, he had been asleep so she didn’t bother to wake him again. She was glad to find the room empty and wished it would be like that for the rest of the night. But her prayer was not answered because Michael entered ten minutes after her.

She was still on the bed when he entered, not in the mood to go to bed yet. His suit jacket was folded on his arm and his shirts buttons were almost all opened and his other hand was in his pant pocket. He rested on the closed door and watched her. She didn’t say anything to him and pretended like he was not there but that was really impossible, his presence was the last thing anyone can ever ignore. It was like that from their first marriage and it had remained like that.
