Livia watched Joseph and Alpha Rhye leave without a single question. Rhye knew the need to know where they were going and what they were doing burned on the tip of her tongue. It hadn’t escaped his notice that she observed everything with rapt attention to detail. She’d seen their weapons, cash, and antiquities littering various surfaces.
She’d asked as much from them yesterday, and it had taken a small piece of him to deny her the answers she was looking for.
