Chapter 22. What Do You Want?

I call Sarah first thing in the morning to catch her before she leaves to work. Her cheerful reply brightens my mood, and my tense muscles relax instantly.

I heave a sigh, knowing she’s not mad at me anymore. We discussed the evening plans, and I’m struck by the differences in our lives again. I rarely spend time with strangers, and my social life is technically meeting women my mother occasionally sets me up with.

She plans to get ready with her friends for the night at her place, so I offered to bring dinner. It was Dante’s brilliant idea. I had one goal to be with her, so I just needed the information to be at the right place and time.

When she hangs up with the sentence, ‘I can’t wait to kiss you again.’ the memory of her scent and taste floods my senses, and I’m getting hard again.
