Abigail’s POV

Ornata, Ellie and I are sitting in the treeline by the private training grounds, which is only used by the ranked members of the pack and visiting packs, while Willow and Matt are trying to practice some of the magic skills I transferred to him when marking him. We laugh at his concentrated expression, and feel for him when things don’t succeed right away. He is getting the hang of things quickly despite him only being granted magic this morning.

I engage myself into the conversations with Ornata, Ellie and Greyson. They are asking Ellie many questions, and listen with raps attention as she answers everything, making her feel welcome and important. Greyson is very interested in her history as an assassin and listens without judging, complementing Ellie’s way of navigating such a dangerous world without losing her moral compass.
