Chapter 20. Date

I’m ready for tonight’s dinner. Afterwards, I will meet Rowan in the kitchen, and we’re going to be cooking.

As I open the door, Kellan is standing smiling.

“I was coming. The king could have given me a chance not to show up.” I laugh and step out.

“Neither of us will be there for tonight’s dinner.”

“Then why are you here?” His hand goes to his heart.
