I wake up early and go to Sage’s room. She looks at me, clearly confused that I’m here.

“How did you do yesterday?” I never got a chance to catch up with her after she left for the event.

“Amazing. I forgot how much I missed being outside the palace; everyone was asking what happened, why Darius cancelled Selene’s and why you weren’t at dinner.” Of course, they are.

“Darius saw some issues he wanted to fix.” She nods but doesn’t ask. Walking in, we sit down. Kellan is sitting with Callista and Selene next to him. Walking over, I see my name next to Darius.
