Daniel will admit, this was a pretty good strategy to get him to come. Because they’ve all grown up together, he and Serena were close to both Kane and Kris’s parents, the same way the two alphas were to the pack leaders. 

Daniel couldn’t say no to Kane’s sweet mom whom he treats like another mother. So he came, though he already had an inkling why his presence was needed so early in the morning, Daniel decided to take the bait.

 “We need to join the mating run in two days.”

Pretty straightforward. Daniel wasn’t expecting any less.
