Two days later, I was discharged from the hospital, but still, I refused to have a conversation with Asher’s parents, including my father. Alexander tried to comfort me but I didn’t know how to act in front of him after the revelation.
Being alone, I found solace in staring at the beautiful paintings on the wall. Everything in the palace was perfect and well-designed but I couldn’t help but feel sad about my situation.
