Suppressing the frustration that welled up within me, I took a deep breath to calm myself down. "Would you mind being a little more cooperative?" I responded in a calm, monotone tone.

"Will you also refrain from being intrusive and bothersome?" he retorted, surprising me with his question as I stood close to him.
