Chapter 126. Reunion

Third-Person POV

"Uh..." Stirred awake, she groaned and grimaced in pain as she fluttered her eyes open.

Staring at the familiar wooden beam up above, she was left bewildered for the longest while. A dull stinging pain resonated through her being.

Creak!

Just then, "Kyley?..." She heard as the door to he room was pushed open.

Kyley couldn't help but look down towards the door, and there, she saw a face that she never thought that she would ever see again.

He looked disheveled and utterly distressed, looking at her in shock and disbelief.

Thud!

The things he held in his hands dropped falling from his hands, causing a soft crash on the floor. Among the items was a bandage, and it rolled across the floor amidst the silence.

After a short moment of pause, Darren rushed to Kyley's side in the bed shortly after, and Kyley couldn't help but frown in confusion. She didn't understand why he was like this. "Darren?"
