Chapter 40. Where Is It?

"You may lay yourself down while I get ready" Darren informed in a serious tone just as they got into the room. Kyley nodded her head at him and moved to do just as he said. She proceeded towards the bed and gently lay herself down.

Darren didn't linger around either as he moved to the drawers in the corner and began rummaging through them, picking up the things he needed to tend to Kyley's wounds. 

Kyley watched Darren all the while as searched through the drawers with a serious expression. 

Soon, Darren turned around with a bundle of bandage, a tweezer, a pack of wool and a dressing film in hand and walked towards the bed where Kyley was. 

"Let me see?" Once he sat by the bed and placed the things in his hand on the bedside table, he asked. His tone was calm and solemn as he faced Kyley still with a serious expression.

Kyley nodded severally and reached to lift up her shirt, revealing her soaked-up bandaged wound to the side of her stom
