My footsteps resounded along with my pounding heart, which beat right in my heart. Surrounded by darkness, the coldness of the floor made me tremble in deep fear.

I instinctively squirm to sit myself up, realizing how dangerous it is not to put up any resistance.

I had never been this scared in my life, as I was at the moment. All I saw was pitch blackness as I had been blindfolded by some piece of clothing put over my head.
