Alphonse rose from his seat and walked towards the window to look outside, as though he would be able to see Jason where he stood.

His heart shook anxiously and in slight trepidation as he became alarmed. 

His calm eyes suddenly became torrential as worry and concern filled his thoughts.

Alphonse didn't expect Darren to arrive in the city so quick. Although he expected him to arrive at some point, he had hoped that he would have garnered enough strength to fight back.
