“Why are you buying apples?”

Fanny shrugged.

“I like them.”

“You can buy apples at home.”

“Yes, but I prefer to buy them myself.”

Michel didn’t answer for a moment, just stared at her without blinking.

“Are you telling me you spent an hour buying apples?”

Blushing at the comment, Fanny didn’t reply, but instead just bowed her head and took a few steps to the car.
