Chapter 119
A few moments later, the dark figure began to rise back toward the sky, but this time it was accompanied by something different. Beside the darkness, a light emerged, soft and warm, like the first breath of dawn. A bright light appeared beside it, cutting through the darkness like the dawn breaking through night. It was warm, pure, and unmistakable. A soul, shining with an intensity that made the darkness seem less suffocating.
And then, he saw her. She turned to look back at him from the sky, her eyes meeting his with a mixture of fear, longing, and hope. Her gaze held him frozen, a silent goodbye he was not ready to accept. And in that moment, he recognized his sister’s face. The recognition hit him like a physical blow, twisting his heart in his chest.
“Alizeh!!” he screamed, the sound torn from the depths of his soul, raw and urgent. The scream was not a word; it was a wound opening. His hands reached out instinctively, though there was nothing there to grasp.
