Chapter 29. Caged

Roshanay jumped at her place, the sound of loud bang penetrated deep within her eardrums that caused her heart to quiver. Even it was still quivering, she wasn't recovered from the fear and the pain. She held her bruised hand, which was turning blue at the places where the wood of pencil had been pushed badly. She could still feel the pressure on her fingers.

She wasn't able to massage her fingers because it would hurt more. Only the slight shaking of the hand provided her some relief. Troublesomely, she looked at the door then back at her hand.
