Chapter 28. Scrutinizing Eyes

"Which departmental store?" He was on purpose probing her, asking for minor details to gauge out whether she was telling the truth or not.

His eyes scrutinizing her.

"Sit," he pointed out at the couch and she sat down on it. Then he pulled the chair of the dressing table with a single tug, turned it around, and occupied it, "now answer to my questions. If you pleaded instead of answering then it would be a clear cut for me to spot you're lying. So tell me briefly about your first interaction?"
