Chapter 4
Jade POV
I woke up to Saint lying beside me, breathing softly. I looked around to see we were back in the room at the bar basement where I'd woken up the previous day. I didn't remember us coming here.
Flashbacks from the previous night came flooding in, and Saint's little toss on the bed made the sheets rustle. I sighed, feeling the effect of the previous night's alcohol on me.
How did I go from trying to run away to ending up in bed with him?
I looked over to Saint and ran a hand continuously through his hair, admiring how soft it felt.
This woke him up, and he looked at me, then held my wrist to prevent me from touching his hair again.
“What're you doing?” He asked, sitting up and taking a glance at the room.
“I...I just maybe-” I started before he shot me a displeased look and got out of bed. He wore his vest and trousers.
I just didn't know how this man always managed to make me speechless each time.
“Get dressed, we're leaving in five,” He said and headed towards the door, but then stopped. “About yesterday night, you should forget about it.”
And with that, he left the room, shutting the door behind him.
I ran a hand through my hair, scoffing.
Forget about it? This man had to be kidding me.
I sat half-naked on the bed, feeling like I had been left coldly after a nightstand, except in my case, I knew exactly who my one-night stand was.
I waved it aside, got dressed, then left for the house with Rex driving. Saint walked past me, ignoring me whenever we were at the same place, his usual facial expression back on.
I got to the house and sat in the shower for an insane amount of time trying to articulate my thoughts. And still confused about why he even allowed me to go to the bar in the first place.
I didn't see Saint any longer or CJ (whom I learnt his name from Rex) either, but Rex was there as usual. He was always there.
Time flew by, I had lunch, and just as I was about to go back to bed, Rex told me we were leaving for the bar, again.
“I'm ready to go,” I told him as I walked downstairs to meet him.
He shot me a sly look from head to toe, smirking mischievously. “Nice legs you've got, Miss Jade. It looks like you'd be doing some extra work this night.” He commented, staring entirely at my thighs.
I shifted uncomfortably, rubbing my hands together.
“Hey, hey, I'm not trying to be a pervert,” He said, chuckling, before leading the way outside.
We drove silently to the bar, and from time to time, I caught him stealing a glance each time.
Betty was already there, and she informed me that Saint had asked if I had come in, which made me surprised since he had been ignoring my whole existence.
I sat around with Rex, basically doing nothing, since he said Saint had asked us to wait for him.
“You stay right here and don't move an inch. I'll be right back.” He ordered and then left.
I watched him exit the bar, and with Saint and CJ not being around, I saw it as a golden opportunity.
I stood up and scurried to the door, not looking back for a second. Not caring where I was going or whatever, I just wanted to leave that instant.
I had barely made it out the back door and into the alley before I felt a hand over my head with a sack, and the next thing I saw was black.

I woke up and looked around. I knew this house anywhere, particularly the grey and white walls, which screamed misery everywhere, which I hated the most. I was back at my uncle's house, in my room, which I hated even more. It had practically been a hellhole living here.
He had finally caught me, and I wasn't sure he would let me escape this time either.
My hands were tied sorely behind me, and my phone was far across from me to reach.
The door opened, and my uncle walked in, the widest grin on his face, which annoyed me. Inasmuch as I feared him, I despised him, and if I could kill him, I would.
“You're good at hiding, Jade. I'm actually impressed. It seems Suzy is teaching you well,” He said, then pulled my hair to raise my face at him. “You won't get out again either.” He continued, then slapped me across the face.
I fell to my side, and the metallic taste forming in my mouth made me know that I had just gotten a cut inside my cheeks.
“I hate you, you're a psycho!” I shouted, trying to wriggle free out of the ropes, but it was to no avail. “I hate you so much,” I said again as the tears started to well up in my eyes.
I hated this. I hated it so much. It made me think of Marcel at that moment, knowing that if he were here, he would have stopped his father.
He pulled me up and threw me on the bed, then stood in front of me, still grinning. “Well, I don't hate you, little Jade. And we're going to enjoy ourselves today.” And with that, he started unbuttoning his shirt.

Saint POV
“Any traces of Tequila?” I asked CJ as he rushed into the basement room, panting hard after a few minutes.
”No, not yet. But Miss Jade isn't at the bar, Rex stepped out for a while, and she disappeared. I checked the CCTV, and I think her uncle kidnapped her.
I found myself getting angry immediately. I knew she'd want to run away; that was why I had initially not wanted her to leave the house. Besides, She was mine now and nobody should have dared to lay a finger on what was mine.
I stormed off to the car with CJ and my men as we headed over to her uncle's house. He had just messed with me, and he wasn't going to go free.

Jade POV
I continued to struggle as he got on top of me, screaming and begging him to let me go. This was a familiar sight, but it didn't mean I was used to it. I hoped I never recalled any of it. He was planting kisses on my neck, and I was already very much irritated.
I lay helplessly, slowly becoming tired and knowing not Marcel nor anyone was coming. Not even Suzy.
Suddenly, the door flew open, and someone rushed in and grabbed him by the neck, throwing him into a corner. I looked through the welled-up tears in my eyes to see a furious Saint looking back at me.
“Are you okay? Are you hurt?” He asked me to scan his body, and he loosened the rope that tied my hand.
“I'm fine,” I told him, and I heard my voice shake as I talked.
“Who the fuck do you think you are?” My uncle said as he stood up and charged towards Saint.
Saint gave him a punch, making him fall back again to the ground, “Fucking pervert.” He spat out.
CJ came to the room, and Saint asked him to take me outside while he finished with him. I had been so preoccupied with screaming and begging my uncle, and my uncle wanting to rape me, that we didn't hear when Saint and his men raided the house.
We walked past my uncle's men on the floor everywhere writhing in pain.
I heard my uncle's voice screaming out in pain and cussing out Saint with each breath, and before we walked into the car, I heard a gunshot.
