Chapter 263. His Story
His eyes held no emotion as he watered the plants growing over the mud, beneath which lay the corpse of his dearest, his beloved.
His heart constricted upon recalling the last words he had murmured to Irtaza to convey to him:
"Ask Shehryaar to forgive his mother... and do tell him that his grandpa loves him so much. His mother deserves forgiveness."
Forgive his mother?
But why?
Why?
Why should he?
When she stole everything from him, all because of his first love.
She was never a mother.
She was the very reason for what he had become today.
It was the last will of his grandfather, and the irony was, he was unable to fulfill just that. His whole life, he had done what his grandfather had asked. But this demand... he simply couldn’t fulfill it. Despite wanting to, despite trying, he couldn’t.
The internal battle, the dilemma, struck him so deeply in the web of emotions that he would turn off his emotional switch
