Chapter 11. Helpless
Her scalp burned with a searing sensation and she clawed at his hand with her fragile wrists, trying to pry her off.
"Please," she croaked out in pain.
He left her hair and covered the distance between them. She tried to step back but the site table of the bed halted her movements. She realized she has no place to go so she bent her head down casting her eyes down to the wooden floor. He came close, too close invading her personal space. She could feel her body shaking back and forth and then she registered her whole body was trembling.
Fear.
Anticipation.
Dread.
Horror.
Only these four feelings were running inside her right now. A voice inside her was telling her that he was definitely here for something catastrophic but she did not want to pay any attention to it. It was making her tremble more and more. Her cheek was throbbing and not just that now her scalp burned as if someone has struck her hair off of her head.
He stood right in
