I slid silently into Dominic’s office, the letter clutched in my fist. It had taken hours to draft, striking words out, second-guessing each sentence until it sounded right. Where could I even begin to tell him? This news, the little heartbeat that managed to knock my world off balance, almost could not be voiced out. This weight, though, was too heavy for me to carry on my own, and I knew, he needed to know, no matter how scared I was.
