Dominic’s POV

“How long have you known?” I asked as my voice dropped to a mere whisper. I lurched further back into my chair, my eyes trained on the wall ahead. My heart kept racing, throbbing along with the tension, which now filled this room to the brim, so thick that I felt it could choke me.

Luca leaned against the window, his back to me. “A few days. We had to be sure before bringing it to you.”

“And you’re quite certain?” My question fell into the room, weighted with all the implications that this situation held.

My office door creaked and swung open, Stefano standing there in the doorway, looking as grave as all hell. He nodded coolly toward Luca before turning to me. “We’ve confirmed it, boss. There’s a mole in the mansion.”
