Chapter 17

BEAUTIFUL

When Maxine looked up and realized that her boyfriend Mark was standing in front of her, she was frozen in place and unable to move. Mark Randel Chua is the name of Chelsea's former boyfriend, who Maxine snatched away from her. Maxine felt threatened by the rage that was clearly seen in his eyes. She has not yet recovered from her trepidation.

Maxine questioned Mark with trembling voice, "M-mark?! W-what are you doing here?!!"

Mark yelled at Maxine's face while he smacked her with a lot of power and called her a slut.

Maxine went completely numb as a result of the painful smack that she received.

[Don't let on; did Red set up this snare for us?] She questioned her own actions, perplexed.

…FLASHBACK…

Red reached for his phone just in time to prevent him from leaving his office.
