"Argh!" Maxine let out a painful groan as she stabbed herself in the stomach with the knife. Yet she swiftly pulling the knife away from the wound only made the anguish greater.

I was rendered motionless by the shocking nature of what I was seeing. When I watched the blood swiftly stream out of her tummy, my eyes widened in response.
