Chapter 124. Old Flame

MIKI'S POV

EITHER THEY'RE LETTING HIM win or Miki is really good at this one-legged race. Crossing the finish line, Miki raise his arms in the air in victory, grinning from ear to ear at the spirit of community bonding.

Aside from it being a Saturday and everyone's in a good mood, it's the first week of May. May brings out the best of community as it is the month of Luna Dance.

This will be his first celebration in a Pack different from his own; in a Pack he's eager to call his own. It'll be the first for his sister but for her, the feeling of new home isn't there; she's here as a guest and will return soon to her Pack to resume here duties.

Once his sister leaves, Miki isn't following her. He's here to stay. For good. That shouldn't make him smile so much—it might appear as if he has always wanted to leave Constellation Pack or that he's happier here.

Miki is happy because now he has two places he can call home. Two places he loves.
