Chapter 128. Nothing Like Déjà Vu

It is nothing like déjà vu but it is close to. Two visits in a year closely is an achievement Precious can say Rivers has unlocked. But unlike Rivers mating ceremony, his coronation is promised to be a quick affair. If quick is three days long.

Essentially, a coronation shouldn't take that long. Put the damn crown on his head, say a few kingly words, play nice and diplomatic and send your guests on their merry way. This can be done in a day and half.

At least there isn't blinding white this time. The estate clean, its hedges trimmed, its fountains flowing and its ground speckled with white, the only white in the compound.

As for the compound, it is quiet. Almost as if there's nothing going on. There's the droning noise of workers, the house thrumming with the heartbeat of the living doing living things but other than that, there's no pomp and ceremony.

It is as if Rivers don't want to make a big deal out of this coronation.
