Chapter 23. Dinner

Tonight must review the contract a bit; check to see if Kane Matthews has violated any terms!

"Gideon Parker, I'm so sorry, but the ingredients in the fridge are really empty; if you can't accept this, order out." Vera Russell deftly reminds him that there are other options.

"Ha ha, can that trash be eaten too? Let me see!"

A tall figure squeezed into the kitchen. Vera Russell suddenly felt pressure come on. His entry made the space seem small.

Gideon Parker opened the cold door to get a tattoo; his eyes scanned; nothing could be eaten. Ah, tomorrow I will definitely have to buy more cooking ingredients.

"That's it! Eat whatever!" Gideon Parker pointed to the potato in Vera Russell's hand, and his gaze fell on it after speaking.

Vera Russell followed his gaze, immediately picked up the knife embedded in the potato, embarrassed, and said, "There was a deep dent, so I scraped it out."
