Chapter 10. Why He Became My Husband

No one dared to speak. All the way there was only silence, and Danas was even more frightened when he sat down with the man he was with. His body was tense, with his hands clenched tightly. Being in the same car with Melvin terrified Danas. That man could do something horrible to him as Melvin did at home.

"Don't make me ashamed. We're going to attend a party invitation. You should change."

Danas' eyes rounded, she hadn't been to a party in a long time, how could Melvin invite her without any preparation or practice?

"I-I-"

"I hate rejection, my word is command," Melvin cut in.

Now Danas didn't want to argue anymore, everything she wanted to say, Melvin wouldn't hear. The man beside her was so intimidating to her. She wanted to ask about what she did wrong, who she killed, but she was never allowed to speak.

Danas held her stomach, making a sound she shouldn't have.
