I looked around, mesmerized. The rush of capital city, smell of freshly fried street snacks, a small flower shop in the corner with an old lady selling fresh roses and marigolds, narrow ally in the left, traffic police in white navigating the traffic, light showers from the dark clouds, children returning from school in buses, street vendors selling vegetables and lavish buildings looking at a distant.
I smiled, brightly. “Welcome to my country.” I said to both Axel and Nate who were looking everywhere around in daze.
Visiting different country always hits different but coming back to the place which is part of your culture feels much more than that. I was very young when I visited Delhi last time. I remember it was summer and in scorching heat, I was jumping around in joy to see all the historical monuments with my grandmother. This place holds so many memories and piece of my heart is buried deep into my culture roots.
