Jason’s POV

Jason barely registered everything that was going on around him; he just stared at her, praying for her to wake up and scold him for making her drive by herself, but instead, the beeping changed from the regular beeping that was reassuring him that she was still alive stopped replaced by a high monotone beep.

“NO!” he shouted. “NO! Kitty, you are not allowed to die on me! Not now! Not ever!” Jason stood up, grabbed her arm, and started shaking it.
