Jason's POV

Jason wasn't sure how long Kitty had been in surgery; it was very dark outside now and almost night when the doctor walked out asking for Kitty's husband.

Instantly, Jason walked over to him, not caring how deranged he looked.

"How is she?" He asked quickly, checking the expression on the doctor's face; either everything was good, or he had an excellent poker face.

"She is stable, but she is in a chemical-induced coma. It will give her time to heal, but she will be fine," he said with a small smile on his face. Jason felt the relief warm his entire body, and he took a deep breath. He could breathe well again, knowing Kitty was alive.
