Trish was happy; she didn't need a soothsayer to tell her otherwise. She couldn't wait to be in her room, where she could fantasize about what could have happened if James didn't stop.

She didn't want anybody to tell her otherwise; whatever they were feeling for each other, they were going to find out soon because they needed to know why the attraction had just kicked in. They had known themselves for years, and they had never felt this kind of way for each other.
