Kitty’s POV

Kitty was still buried in her work, she was reading up on some of her case files when she stumbled on an old case of hers that got dismissed for no good reason. It was a case about a governor and a young girl who claimed that the governor did something terrible to her, but it never held up in court because it was pretty hard to nail a guy like that. He was rich and famous, and that alone meant that he was untouchable. It was pretty disgusting how a young girl’s life was messed up, and she couldn’t do anything about it for some reason she could not remember right now. She tried to look for more details, but it was like they disappeared into thin air. There was something obviously wrong with this picture because it just wasn’t clear at all. She set it aside and kept working on other ones when her phone rang. It was her assistant.
