Marlo would never talk about his history with Glen’s mom. He thought Glen was always a risk and couldn’t be trusted totally. Letting him take up this job was only a short-term solution. Marco would be worthless once he got out. He didn’t state it clearly, but Mona realized what he meant, and her eyes were a little cold. It’s hardly surprising that Glen would take a chance to work with her; he might have been desperate.
”The Reuben Group is a big company, and you have a lot of shares in it...” Mona looked like she wasn’t sure.
Marlo made a face. Women were, in fact, greedy. She had said no earlier since his price wasn’t high enough.
”Don’t worry, I have enough shares to back up my own voice.” Marlo gazed at her with a hint of anger in his eyes. “I’ll give you 20 % of the Reuben Group’s shares as long as you can come up with a criminal reconciliation statement.”
”Also give me a say?” Mona asked. “Yes, of course.”
”You just need to back me up,” Marlo said
