The fact that he was so selfish disgusted her. She hissed softly and continued walking to her room. She had other things to worry about, and he was out of the list.
He chuckled and also stood up. He thought of every possible way to win her back as he drove home. He wanted her to love him back like he loved her, but things kept getting more complicated for him now. He knew, definitely, he was being selfish. One, he didn't even care about how Kamilah felt when he told her he was getting married to Layla soon. Two, he didn't care about how Layla disliked him now. All he wanted was her; he didn't care if she didn’t want anything to do with him. Luring her in would be easy once they got married.
He parked the car in the parking lot and hopped out. He walked into the house and met Kamilah in the living room watching TV—something she rarely did. She was always in her room.
