Chapter 82. The Foolish Ethan

Piper’s POV

I realized Lisa has the same curious gaze as Max. She stood in front of us, smiling with pride.

“I’m going to see Ethan. Ethan’s been the only person Megan’s been close to. There’s no way we’re going to see Erin, Megan’s mom. So, the only person we’re going to see is Ethan. Hopefully, we can get a lot of information from him. The last I heard, he refused to get engaged to Megan. I guess he finally realized that he was just a tool for Megan. After that, I heard nothing more from him,” Lisa replied.

“I’m smart, right?” she asked.

“Yes, you are. But, there’s one thing I’m missing. How are you going to get information from Ethan? He’s not stupid and you’ve told me he loves Megan. There’s no way he would get the woman he loves in trouble,” Max asked.

I continued to listen carefully to their conversation. What they both said was true.
